10th Birthday Party - May 2021
On Tuesday, 11th May, 2021, walkers past and present joined together for a Zoom 10th birthday party, celebrating 10 years of St George Strollers' walks.
Here are the photos we shared from walks over the years, particularly those where a volunteer was leading or back marking for the first time.
St George Strollers at WalkFest - May 2021
As part of WalkFest 2021 St George Strollers created 3 walks which can be walked independently at any time.
There is a circular walk in St George, celebrating 10 years of walking together and 2 linear walks, further afield.
All three walks use the Go Jauntly app which can be downloaded to your smart phone or tablet.
The links below will take you to the walk on the app once you have downloaded it.
There is also a set of written instructions for "A 10th Birthday Stroll"
A 3 mile linear walk on pavements starting by following the Malago through parts of Bedminster.
Then onto South Street and North Street in Southville looking at the Street Art from the Upfest. This is a local Art competition and some of the paintings are still left in Southville. Finishes at Wapping Wharf in the Docks.
A lovely linear walk, just under 3 miles on surfaced paths from Whitchurch to Brislington, ending at the Lodekka pub on the A4.
This was the St George Strollers' 200th walk back in November 2019.
In May 2021 the walk is even more beautiful including blossom, birds and possible fairy housing.
On Wednesday 11th May 2011 the St George Strollers enjoyed their very first “taster” walk of just 2 miles, visiting St George Park and Avonview Cemetery.
Enjoy this updated version of the walk to celebrate the 10th birthday of the Strollers. Look out for 2 very special new murals and a new memorial to the former residents of the Eastville Workhouse.
Print a set of written instructions for "A 10th Birthday Stroll".
