Troopers Hill Photo 13

<< Previous  Next >>

This photograph shows an area of the Hill where bell heather has spread significantly. The 1994 shot shows an area of grassland with scattered small plants of ling. Bell heather then colonised the area and has become much more abundant and vigorous in recent years. The hawthorn scrub in the centre right of the photo has also grown significantly over the last ten years. All these trends can be seen to have continued in the 2006 photo.
